Lots of Global Camps Africa supporters gathered in Reston Virginia to help 'get out the word' stuffing and mailing the announcement of our new name to our supporters.
Thank you to everyone who volunteered that day. What a difference you made!

They worked so fast it was a blurr trying to catch them on camera!

Art From Camp Sizanani, South Africa
In cooperation with the Greater Reston Arts Center and in conjunction with Youth Art Month
Approximately 150 people attended a reception on Thursday March 8, 2007 to introduce the community to some of the extraordinary artwork from our camp. The reception was held at the Greater Reston Arts Center (GRACE), 12001 Market Street, Reston from 6 to 8 p.m.
The “Art from Camp Sizanani” exhibition provided a unique insight into the world of our campers through the medium of intuitive painting. Intuitive painting is about creativity as adventure, as process and as a tool to enhance our lives. In January, 99 girls at Camp Sizanani participated in the intuitive painting classes. For many of them, this was their first painting class. The outcome was profound.
Intuitive artist and instructor Judith Forst and Lynn Lilienthal were among the five instructors at camp and were able to attend the GRACE exhibit along with GCA Board members Phil Lilienthal, Kohann Whitney, Bob Secundy and Development Director Jean Van Devanter White, who also worked at the January camp, Light refreshments, including a sampling of South African wines, were served.
